For example, Blacksmiths craft incredibly powerful armor, such as the Lionheart Helm, and weapons like Nightfall, which are pivotal for certain builds when raiding.<\/p>\n

Becoming a Blacksmith<\/h3>\n

Before you can level, you must first find a trainer in any major city<\/a> and choose the Blacksmith profession. It\u2019s advised to simultaneously take the Mining profession, as this allows you to gather your own crafting resources. Being a miner-blacksmith will help you level both faster, as you\u2019ll always have great incentives to gather materials!<\/p>\n

1-75: Apprentice Blacksmithing<\/h3>\n

Starting out, you just want to be crafting different types of stones. To get you from level 1-75 you can craft:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • 40 rough sharpening stones: from 40 rough stone.<\/li>\n
  • 60 rough grinding stones: from 120 rough stone (Make sure to save these for later, as they are a crafting material themselves!).<\/li>\n
  • 25 coarse sharpening stones: from 25 rough stone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    While you will feel a desire to immediately craft armour or weapons, this is not advised as low-level gear is very easy to come by, meaning you\u2019ll likely be wasting resources (and thus time) in crafting your own gear at this point. Instead, by focusing on stones, you create powerful buffs that you and\/or your teammates can use to benefit you regardless of your loadout.<\/p>\n

    75-125: Journeyman Blacksmithing<\/h3>\n

    Once you hit level 75, you can train as a Journeyman Blacksmith provided you are above level 10.<\/p>\n

    Here, there is a larger number of items at your disposal, and you can begin crafting gear to use if you desire.<\/p>\n

    One of the fastest routes to clear the Journeyman level of crafting is with some of the following:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • 35 Coarse Grinding Stones: from 70 coarse stone (Make sure to save these for later, as they are a crafting material themselves!)<\/li>\n
    • 10 Runed Copper Belts: from 100 Copper Bars<\/li>\n
    • 5 Silver Rods: from 5 Silver Bars and 10 Rough Grinding Stones<\/li>\n
    • 5 Runed Copper Belts: from 50 Copper Bars<\/li>\n
    • 15 Rough Bronze Leggings: from 90 Bronze Bars<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Together, this will take you through to the level of an Expert Blacksmith.<\/p>\n

      150-225: Expert Blacksmithing<\/h3>\n

      Provided you\u2019re above level 20, at level 125, you can become an Expert Blacksmith. Simply find your way to Bengus Deepforge in Ironforge or Saru Steelfury in Orgrimmar to level up to expert!<\/p>\n

      • 25 Green Iron Bracers: from 150 Iron Bars and 25 Green Dye<\/li>\n
      • 10 Golden Scale Bracers: from 50 Steel Bars and 20 Heavy Grinding Stones<\/li>\n
