Steal a Brainrot packs over 300 collectible brainrots across eight rarity tiers, each generating passive income when placed in a player’s base. The difference between a Common brainrot earning $5/s and a Secret brainrot pulling billions per second shapes how fast you progress through the game’s economy.

What are brainrots in Steal a Brainrot?
Brainrots are collectible units in Steal a Brainrot that generate passive income when you place them in your base. Each brainrot produces cash per second. Mutations and traits can drastically increase base stats.
The game features eight rarity tiers: Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Brainrot God, Secret, and OG.
NOTE: Higher rarities spawn less frequently, cost more to purchase, and generate significantly more income per second.
How to get brainrots: brainrot acquisition methods
- Purchasing from the conveyor belt.
- Stealing from other players.
- Participating in Admin Abuse events.
- Crafting/fusing several brainrots into a better one.
- Opening Advent Calendar.
- Spinning the wheel.
- Purchasing Lucky Blocks for Robux.
How many brainrots are in Steal a Brainrot
The Steal a Brainrot index tracks 300+ unique brainrots. Sammy commonly adds new brainrots through Saturday updates, which feature seasonal events, collaborations (Bruno Mars), and special releases. The total brainrot number keeps growing.
Some brainrots are limited-time and limited quantity. After their event ends, they become legacy items owned only by veteran players.
The collection system tracks which brainrots you’ve owned at least once through an in-game index. Even if you sell or lose a brainrot later, it will still be marked as “collected” in your index. Completionists chase 100% index completion, though limited-time brainrots make this incredibly difficult for players who missed early events.
Steal a Brainrot exist count
Exist count is the total number of each brainrot available in the game. Many brainrots had limited stock and were available only for short periods. Of course, OGs are just extremely rare by default, with only around 2000 Strawberry Elephants in existence so far.
Sammy promised to add the exist count if trading becomes permanent (through Trade Machine). Trade Machine (added on February 21) allows you to send requests to other players on your server and worldwide for safe brainrot trading.
The exact numbers for Puffaball and Headless Horseman were revealed on Discord by Sammy when he was contemplating the exist count addition. If added, the exist count would include the brainrot number, as well as mutation and trait counts.

Here’s the currently known exist count. Based on the abysmally low 138 exist count, no surprise that the Secret tier Headless Horseman was uptiered to an OG.

Legendary brainrots are when new players will start to actually spend some more time. For the first time, the income jump at the Legendary tier is substantial enough for you to feel it. Here is when stealing might become lucrative for the first time, especially due to the Rebirth requirements.

Secret brainrots spawn from Lucky Blocks, during special events, or are acquired through not-so-obvious game mechanics. Secret and OG tier brainrots are where the endgame begins. Seeing Secret brainrots spawning naturally on the conveyor belt is quite a miracle. You’ll have to grind and, most importantly, attend the Admin Abuse events twice a week.
