MM2 Summer Update 2026: All New Items, Quests & Event End Date

The MM2 Summer Update 2026 launched on July 23 and runs until August 23. The event introduces daily Shell quests, a new mystery box, Icecream Godlies, a new Pier map, limited Robux items, and four event-track rewards. 

The MM2 2026 Summer Event is primarily a quest-and-unboxing update. It is a smaller update ahead of Nikilis’s larger update with a Battle Pass later in 2026. The central gameplay loop is to collect coins, complete three daily quests, earn Shells, and spend 120 Shells to open the Summer Box ’26.

The hardest items to obtain for free are Icecream and Chroma Icecream, while Beachy and Sands are tied to Robux purchases. 

How the MM2 Summer Event works 

1. Collect coins to complete Daily Quests. 
2. Finishing daily quests rewards you with Shells🐚. 
3. Use 120 Shells🐚 to buy the Summer Box ’26.

New event currency: Shells

Shells replace Beach Balls as the main Summer 2026 currency. Unlike previous summer events, Shells are not simply scattered across maps for you to collect directly.

Instead, you must collect coins during rounds to complete daily quests. Completing quests awards Shells, and 120 Shells will get you the Summer Box ’26.

Daily quests

You get three active daily quests. Quests revolve around collecting coins and refresh each day:

• 3:00 AM US East Coast.
• 8:00 AM UK.
  
• 4:00 PM Japan.

Here are the quest requirements and Shell rewards.

Only three are presented per daily reset, rather than all five necessarily appearing at once. The unusually high 30-Shell reward for the easiest documented quest may be intentional as a daily starter bonus.

Event quests

Separate from the rotating daily quests, the event has a permanent reward track based on how many Summer mystery boxes you manage to open. These are cumulative milestones. Opening 20 boxes completes the entire event reward track rather than requiring 39 separate boxes.

New mystery box: Summer Box ’26

The Summer Box ’26 is the update’s only event crate. One opening costs either:

1. 120 Shells🐚, earned through quests.
2. 60 Diamonds💎, purchased with Robux.

The limited-time Beach Bundle is the update’s premium Robux pack. It costs 3,399 Robux and contains two weapons and one effect.

New Pier map

The update introduces a new seasonal map called Pier.

It follows the seaside theme and includes references to existing MM2 toys, including the Teddy and Beach Ball. The map joins the event’s summer rotation and is separate from the redesigned Summer lobby.

New MM2 Summer lobby

The regular lobby has been temporarily replaced by a beach-themed Summer lobby. Its main functions include:

• Access to the Summer Box.
• Displays for the Beach Bundle weapons.
• The daily and event quest interfaces.
• Seasonal decorations and event branding.
• Navigation into standard rounds and the seasonal map rotation.

The lobby is temporary and will disappear when the Summer 2026 event ends.

What is NOT included in the MM2 Summer Update 2026

Before launch, several posts and videos predicted a much larger update involving Season 2, a summer battle pass, an EVO weapon, crafting, a bonus game mode, returning Beach Balls, and a Summer leaderboard.

The documented launch version currently does NOT list:

• Season 2.
• A tiered battle pass.
• A Summer EVO weapon.
• A Summer leaderboard.
• Event crafting.
• Event gifting.
• A volleyball or other bonus game mode.
• Beach Balls as currency.

This is notably smaller in structure than the 2025 Summer Event, which had a 25-tier battle pass, an EVO gamepass, and a Summer leaderboard.
