This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Privacy Policy") explains how Eldorado Market, UAB ("Eldorado" or "we"), a public institution registered and operating under the legislation of the Republic of Lithuania, with a legal entity code 304881891, registration address Juozo Balčikonio str. 9, Vilnius, Lithuania, as the controller of your personal data, processes your personal data when you contact us via the addresses provided, make donations, or otherwise use this website. It also informs you of your rights as a data subject.

When processing personal data, Eldorado is guided by and complies with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, repealing Directive 95/46/EC (hereinafter referred to as "GDPR"), the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on the Legal Protection of Personal Data, and any other applicable legal acts regulating personal data protection.

      • Data retained for up to 90 days for dispute resolution and fraud-prevention purposes; accounting-related payment records are retained for 10 years in accordance with the General Document Retention Schedule approved by the Chief Archivist of Lithuania and applicable accounting and taxation laws.

IDENTITY VERIFICATION IS PERFORMED THROUGH A THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDER INTEGRATED INTO OUR PLATFORM. WHEN YOU COMPLETE THE VERIFICATION PROCESS, YOUR DATA (SUCH AS IDENTITY DOCUMENT DETAILS AND PHOTO FOR LIVENESS CHECK) ARE TRANSMITTED DIRECTLY TO THE SERVICE PROVIDER, WHO PROCESSES THIS INFORMATION SOLELY ON OUR BEHALF AND ONLY FOR THE PURPOSE OF VERIFICATION. ELDORADO DOES NOT HAVE ACCESS TO BIOMETRIC TEMPLATES OR RAW BIOMETRIC DATA - WE ONLY RECEIVE INFORMATION ABOUT THE VERIFICATION OUTCOME (E.G., WHETHER THE VERIFICATION WAS SUCCESSFUL).

  • To provide customer support and communicate with you:

In cases where Eldorado transfers personal data to data processors, Eldorado requires that such processors process the data solely in accordance with Eldorado’s instructions, for the purposes defined by Eldorado, and in compliance with this Privacy Policy, applicable data protection laws, and the data processing agreements concluded between Eldorado and the processors.

Eldorado may transfer your personal data to entities outside the European Economic Area (EEA) on a lawful basis and for legitimate purposes (e.g., if the data processors or other recipients are located outside the EEA). In cases where personal data is transferred to countries that have not been recognized by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection, Eldorado will implement appropriate safeguards to ensure the protection of your personal data – for example, by relying on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

4. WHAT RIGHTS DO YOU HAVE AS A DATA SUBJECT?

As a data subject, you have the following rights: 


  • Right to be informed about the processing of personal data by Eldorado. You have the right to obtain information about the processing of your personal data, the source of the personal data, the purposes of the processing, the legal basis, the duration of storage and the persons, recipients or processors of the data, the rights of the data subject, etc.

  • Right of access to your personal data processed by Eldorado. You have the right to have access to and obtain a copy of the personal data processed about you.

  • Right to request correction of your personal data processed by Eldorado. You have the right to request the rectification of inaccurate or erroneous personal data processed by Eldorado.

  • Right to withdraw consent. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on your consent prior to the withdrawal of your consent.

  • Right to request erasure. You have the right to request that your personal data be deleted if (i) it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected; ii) you have withdrawn your consent to the processing of your personal data, where the processing was based on your consent; (iii) we are processing your personal data on the basis of legitimate interest and you object to such processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for processing; (iv) we are required to delete your personal data to comply with a legal obligation imposed on us; or (v) your personal data has been unlawfully processed.

  • Right to restrict processing. You have the right to restrict Eldorado’s processing of your personal data: (i) if you dispute the accuracy of the data and Eldorado conducts a review; (ii) if your personal data has been processed unlawfully, but you do not consent to its erasure; (iii) if your personal data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, but is required for the establishment, exercise or defense of a legal claims; or (iv) if you have objected to the processing of your data as described below, pending verification that Eldorado's legitimate grounds override your grounds.

  • Right to object to processing. You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by Eldorado for direct marketing purposes, the right to object to the processing of your personal data in the public interest or in the legitimate interests of Eldorado, unless these interests override the grounds for your objection.

  • Right to portability of your personal data. You have the right to receive the personal data that you have provided to us or to request the transfer of such data to another controller in a structured, commonly used and computer-readable format, provided that the processing of your personal data is based on your consent or on an agreement between us and that your personal data is processed by automated means.

Eldorado hereby informs you that the exercise of the foregoing rights may be subject to the conditions established by law for the exercise of a particular right, and that, therefore, Eldorado has the right to refuse, in a reasoned written decision, your request to exercise a particular right for specific reasons established by law.

Upon receipt of your request, Eldorado undertakes to exercise your right as soon as possible, but in any event within one month of receipt of your request, or to refuse to do so in a reasoned written decision. Eldorado may charge a reasonable fee if your request is manifestly unfounded, repetitive or excessive.

5. ENSURING THE SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Eldorado processes your personal data in a responsible and secure manner, taking into account the requirements for the security of personal data set out in the legislation. When determining the measures for the processing of personal data, as well as during the processing of the data, Eldorado shall implement the technical and organizational measures for data protection set out in the legislation in order to protect the processed personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, damage, alteration, loss, disclosure, as well as against any other unauthorized processing. The security measures and the level of security of personal data shall be determined taking into account the risks associated with the processing of personal data.

Among other things, Eldorado employees who have access to personal data are made aware of the requirements for the protection of personal data and ensure the complete confidentiality of the personal data processed.
