Common Adopt Me abbreviations and meanings
Adopt Me abbreviations describe different aspects of a pet or item, including its age, abilities, Neon or Mega status, trading preferences, and what a player is looking for. Knowing these terms makes it easier to read trade offers and communicate with other players.
Adopt Me pet age abbreviations
These abbreviations show how far a pet has progressed through its growth stages.

| FG | Full Grown | The pet has reached its final regular growth stage. |
For example, if a player says they have an FG Turtle, they mean their Turtle is fully grown and ready to be used to make a Neon.
NOTE: Neon pet ages have unique growth stage names:
- Newborn → Reborn
- Junior → Twinkle
- Pre-Teen → Sparkle
- Teen → Flare
- Post-Teen → Sunshine
- Full Grown → Luminous
Adopt Me Neon and Mega abbreviations
Neon and Mega are special pet variants created by combining multiple copies of the same pet. These abbreviations indicate which variant a player is offering or talking about.

Let’s say a player advertising an NFR Arctic Reindeer is offering a Neon Arctic Reindeer with both Fly and Ride abilities. An NP Arctic Reindeer, on the other hand, has neither ability.

Adopt Me trading status abbreviations
These terms help players quickly show trading intentions. What they are offering, looking for, or unwilling to trade.

| FS | For Sale | The pet or item is available for sale. |
LF Crow, NLF Ox means the player is looking for a Crow but isn’t interested in an Ox. IA: FR Frost Dragon states the offer they’d immediately accept for their Frost Dragon.

Adopt Me trading value abbreviations
Once you know whether something is available for trade, these abbreviations help players describe or evaluate the offer.

| WFL | Win, Fair, Lose | Used to ask whether a trade is a win, fair trade, or loss. |
| W | Win | The trade is considered favorable for the player. |
| BW | Big Win | The trade is considered especially favorable. |

| L | Lose | The trade is considered unfavorable for the player. |
| U | Under | An offer is considered to be below the expected value. |
| O | Over | An offer is considered to be above the expected value. |
| OP | Overpay | An offer includes more value than the item being traded for. |
| SW | Small Win | The trade slightly favors one side. |
| SL | Small Lose | The trade is slightly unfavorable. |
| BL | Big Lose | The trade is considered significantly unfavorable. |
If a player receives a trade offer and asks “WFL?”, they’re asking others to judge whether the trade is a Win, Fair, or Lose. If another player responds “BW,” they consider the trade a Big Win.
WFL can also be written as W/F/L. Players often post a completed or proposed trade and ask “W/F/L?” to find out whether other traders consider it a Win, Fair, or Lose.
Dream pet and item abbreviations
Some abbreviations describe highly wanted pets or items rather than the trade itself.

For example, “My DP is a Shadow Dragon” means the Shadow Dragon is the player’s dream pet.
How to Read Adopt Me Trading Abbreviations
Adopt Me abbreviations are often combined into a single trade message. For example, “LF NFR Turtle, FT FR Kangaroo” means the player is looking for a Neon Fly Ride Turtle and has a Fly Ride Kangaroo available for trade.
Likewise, “Trading FG NP Cow, NFT” describes a Full Grown, No Potion Cow that the owner is showing but does not currently want to trade. Learning to separate each abbreviation makes even complicated-looking trade messages easy to understand.
