Ride a Pet currently has 37 pets to discover and hatch, ranging from the common Snail to ultra-rare pets such as Kitsune, Dragon, and Griffin. Each pet has different base speed, jump, income, and hatch odds, so the best pet to ride isn’t always the best pet for earning cash. Keep in mind that pet stats shown below are base values and can be increased by mutations and leveling.
The basic progression loop is simple:
Find an egg → bring it to your plot → place it in a ranch → hatch a pet → ride a faster pet → reach rarer eggs.
Below is the complete Ride a Pet pets list, including every currently known pet and its base stats. You’ll also find the fastest pets, the best pets for income and leveling, and how the pet Index works.

Ride a Pet stats explained: speed, jump & income
- Speed determines how fast your mount travels. It is the most important progression stat because higher speed shortens egg-hunting routes and helps you compete for rare egg spawns.
- Jump determines a pet’s jumping ability. It matters especially on routes with elevated terrain, cliffs, trees, caves, and awkward egg spawn points.
- Income determines how much cash a pet generates when you place it at your ranch. All placed pets contribute to your total passive earnings. Community documentation identifies Dragon as the standout old-roster income pet, with a base income of 300 million.
How to level up pets in Ride a Pet
Pets have age and XP. The stats shown on a hatched pet reflect its starting state, not its final potential. You can feed pets to gain XP and increase their age.
Different foods grant different amounts of XP, so more expensive food becomes increasingly useful when leveling stronger late-game pets.
Here is the food you can feed your pet.
| Food | Price | Granted XP |
|---|---|---|
![]() Grass |
$10 | 500 |
![]() Bone |
$1,500 | 10,000 |
![]() Meat |
$30,000 | 100,000 |
![]() Magic Apple |
$7M | 300,000 |
![]() Dragonfruit |
$30M | 1,000,000 |
You can buy food from food stands, and you must mount the pet you’re training or place it at the ranch before you can feed it.
How does the ranch work in Ride a Pet?
Starting ranch capacity is five placed pets. The ranch has a Place Best function that automatically selects the strongest income producers. Unplaced pets can remain in inventory.
It’s useful to keep two different types of pets:
- Keep your fastest mount for egg hunting.
- Keep your highest-income pets in ranch slots.
Your best mount doesn’t need to occupy your best money-making slot. Kitsune has the best speed while Dragon has the best income.
