The Steal an Egg Halloween update is here, bringing a spooky new dimension packed with pets, events, and rewards. Explore three Halloween-themed biomes, help Echo the ghost dog, and unlock the Phantom Express to discover even more content.

What’s new in Steal an Egg update 9?

Here’s everything new in Steal an Egg update 9:

• Halloween Dimension: Explore three new biomes: Graveyard, Haunted Swamp, and Abandoned Manor.

• Echo the Ghost Dog: Find Echo’s missing memories and help him reunite with his owner.

Steal an Egg Halloween Dimension

The biggest addition in update 9 is the Halloween Dimension, a new area accessible through the spooky portal at spawn.

The dimension contains three new biomes, each with six pets to discover. Explore the Graveyard, Haunted Swamp, and Abandoned Manor, collect eggs, and join Halloween events.

Halloween eggs in Steal an Egg

Update 9 introduces two different Halloween eggs: the Halloween Dimension Egg, which you can purchase with Candy Corn, and the Halloween Egg available in the store.

Each egg has its own pet pool, so make sure you know which one you’re buying before spending your currency.

Halloween Dimension Egg

The Halloween Dimension Egg is a limited-time event egg that costs 2,250 Candy Corn. You can exchange your Candy Corn at the giant pumpkin in the Halloween spawn.

The egg contains five possible pets, ranging from Legendary to Eternal rarity.

Halloween Egg

The new store egg introduces another set of Halloween pets and a rare chance to obtain a Zombified version through the Zombified Re-Roll mechanic. The Zombified variants are separate from the normal pet outcomes, so keep an eye out for them when hatching.

Echo the Ghost Dog quest (getting the train ticket)

Echo the Ghost Dog has lost his memories and needs your help to reunite with his owner. Complete his quest by finding four missing items scattered throughout the Halloween Dimension.

You can find Echo on the left side of the map, in the Graveyard area, near three distinct crypts.

How to complete Echo’s quest

1. Find Echo: Enter the Halloween Dimension and look for him in the Graveyard biome.
2. Collect his missing items: Search for the collar, dog bone, plushy rabbit toy, and ghost photo.
3. Return the items: Bring all four objects back to Echo to progress his quest.
4. Follow Echo: Accompany him to the Ghost Fisherman near the pier.
5. Get the Haunted Rod: Speak to the fisherman to receive the rod.
6. Complete the fishing minigame: Cast your rod at the glowing ripples and navigate the underwater course toward the treasure chest.
7. Obtain the Phantom Express Ticket: Reach the end of the minigame to receive your ticket.

NOTE: Completing the quest lets you board the Phantom Express train, which unlocks a new biome. 

The first item can be found just beyond the Phantom Express train station

Second item – dirty bone can be found in front of the train station

Third item – Echo’s favorite toy can be found near the Pumpkin altar, not too far from his spawn

Fourth item – owner’s picture can be found in the Abandoned Manor biome, left of the main gate and behind a rock

Talking to the fisherman will get you a Haunted Rod

After using the Haunted Rod, you’ll be pulled underwater, tugged by a fish. You’ll have to avoid sea mines in order to complete this challenge

As your reward, you’ll receive a Phantom Express ticket

Phantom Express and Spectral mutation

The Phantom Express is another major feature in the Halloween update. Once you have the Phantom Express Ticket, you can board the haunted train and travel to a new area filled with spirits.

The Phantom Express arrives every 30 minutes, on the hour and half-hour. Have your ticket ready before the train arrives.

How to get the Spectral mutation

The new area introduces the Spectral mutation, which you can obtain by collecting Souls from spirits.

Here’s how the process works:

1. Board the Phantom Express: Enter the new area using your Phantom Express Ticket.
2. Capture spirits: Use the ghost-vacuum equipment to collect Souls.
3. Exchange Souls: Visit the Soul Extractor to obtain a Spectral mutation consumable.
4. Apply the mutation: Use the consumable on an eligible egg.

Ghost buster’s second favorite ride

The biggest prize is Ghouler, which can drop up to 2500 souls

You can trade your hard-earned souls in the Soul Shrine

Spectral mutation consumable costs 500 souls, has a 25% application chance, and has a 2.75x multiplier

NOTE: The maximum reward for defeating the Ghouler is 2500. It’s divided among all players who defeat it.

Blood Moon event

The Blood Moon is a special Halloween event that increases the Candy Corn you earn from enemies.

When the event is active, enemies in the Halloween Dimension drop 2x Candy Corn, making it a good opportunity to stock up on event currency.

The Blood Moon event can occur every 30 minutes, but it isn’t guaranteed

Pumpkin Collection event 🎃

The Pumpkin Collection event adds another way to earn Candy Corn. During the event, pumpkins roam freely around the map, and your goal is to catch them and bring them to the Pumpkin altar.
