What is a Fireball Burner in ARC Raiders?
A Fireball Burner is an Uncommon throwable item and crafting material in ARC Raiders. Basically, an incendiary grenade that leaves a burning patch on the ground. You only get them by blowing up Fireball ARC machines, the rolling, flamethrower-spraying bots found mostly indoors.
Combat-wise, its outer shell is heavily armored, making it resistant to light weapons. However, when it attacks and opens its front panel, its unarmored core is exposed, providing a vulnerability window. Wait for this opening to shoot the core or use medium/heavy caliber weapons to break the shell. Fireballs leave a patch of fire on death that will burn you.

Why do you need a Fireball Burner?
Two main reasons:
- The What Goes Around quest requires you to destroy an ARC enemy using a Fireball Burner.
- Upgrading your Refiner from level I to II, which eats up eight of these bad boys.
NOTE: Fireball Burners are one-time use only, but are needed for progression, crafting, and even event stuff like the Cold Snap update.
Using Fireball Burners effectively
Equip a Fireball Burner in your quick-use slot for fast grenade tosses. When going for quest kills, weaken your target with guns first and only then let the Burner get the last hit, or it won’t count. Low-HP ARCs like Pops and Ticks are easiest to finish.
- Use Burners to cripple and tear off Leaper’s legs.
- Great for area denial to force squads or bots out of cover.

Fireball ARC spawns are map-dependent and usually found indoors, especially in bunkers and underground areas.
