In Steal a Brainrot, the developers (Sammy) haven’t published a complete, official list of known brainrot totals yet. However, brainrot numbers are occasionally shared via Discord posts, community wiki pages, and Reddit, giving us a glimpse into accurate exist counts.
This guide covers known Steal a Brainrot exist counts as of April 2026.
What is exist count in Steal a Brainrot?
Steal a Brainrot exist count shows the total number of copies of a specific brainrot across all servers. As of April 2026, roughly 400+ base brainrots exist in-game. If you factor in the 12 different mutation and recolor models like Gold, Diamond, and Rainbow, you’re looking at 4,000+ distinct brainrot variants in total.

Many brainrots had limited stock or were event-exclusive (Admin Abuse), available only for short periods, making their exist counts low and stable. Of course, OGs are just extremely rare by default, with only around 2032 Strawberry Elephants in existence so far, even though they can spawn on the Red Carpet.
Steal a Brainrot exist count
Limited edition brainrot numbers change only slightly. And the ones that can spawn on the Red Carpet will keep growing indefinitely. Numbers go up when new units spawn during events, and they drop when brainrots get voided or deleted together with Roblox accounts.

The Trade Machine update
Sammy promises to add the official exist count if trading through Trade Machine becomes permanent. Trade Machine (added on February 21) allows you to send trade requests to other players on your server and worldwide.
The exact numbers for Puffaball and Headless Horseman were revealed on Discord by Sammy when he was contemplating the addition of the exist count. If added, the exist count would include the overall brainrot number, as well as mutation and trait counts (see the image below).

We are all hoping for integrated exist count displays in future updates. The community has been vocal about wanting the exist count feature built into the game.
Why does the exist count matter for trading value?
Lower exist counts usually translate to harder-to-find brainrots, higher flex appeal, and steeper asking prices. A brainrot with 121 copies carries a completely different trading weight than one with 24 million floating around.
Exist count directly impacts your trading decisions in a few key ways:
- Scarcity drives demand: Brainrots with sub-5,000 exist counts (OGs and Secrets) are often seen on offer for hefty amounts.
- Mutation and trait counts matter separately: A rare brainrot with a rare mutation and lots of traits can inflate the price many times over.
- Hype cycles shift value: Exist count alone doesn’t determine price, since demand, income generation, and community trends all factor into what people will actually pay.
