1. Pet mutations

Currently, there are 3 pet mutation variants divided into two types:

1. Size variants: Big and Mega.
2. Rainbow variant.

Size variants increase a pet’s physical size and strength. Rainbow acts as an additional mutation that further improves the pet’s base ability.

NOTE: GaG2 rolls size and Rainbow variants separately when a pet hatches from an egg, allowing it to receive both mutations.

Pet mutation chances

Here are the chances of getting pets with Big, Mega, and Rainbow mutations from Big, Mega, and Rainbow Eggs.

NOTE: Normal eggs can still hatch mutated pets, but special mutation eggs guarantee a mutation. 

How to get pet mutations in Grow a Garden 2?

The guaranteed way to get a mutated pet is by hatching Big Eggs or Rainbow Eggs. These eggs are primarily obtained through weekly guild rewards, which require your guild to reach high enough rankings to qualify.

NOTE: Mega Eggs are currently unavailable through guild rewards, although this may change in future updates. 

For Big Eggs, your guild will need to take at least 250th place; for Rainbow Eggs, 25th place.

2. Plant mutations

Plant mutations in Grow a Garden 2 are standard or environmental.

1. Standard mutations, such as Gold and Rainbow, can occur during regular gameplay with very low probability or are guaranteed when planting Golden or Rainbow seeds. 
2. Environmental mutations can only be triggered during special weather events. Since each plant can only receive one mutation, it’s best to plant strategically before rare weather events.
