In Steal an Egg, speed is king, and the two most important upgrades for it are Treadmills and Trails. Treadmills increase the base speed you gain from training, while Trails multiply that gain.
With 11 Treadmills and 11 Trails currently available, there are plenty of upgrades to work through, from the basic Treadmill and Grey Trail to the Astral Treadmill and Moonbloom Trail.

Treadmills are your main way to generate speed so you can comfortably farm further biomes.

Unlike Treadmills, Trails don’t simply provide a fixed amount of speed. Instead, they multiply your treadmill speed. The Moonbloom Trail, from update 4, is currently the highest-multiplier Trail, providing ×20 Speed.

How do Trails and Treadmills work together?
Your Treadmill determines your base speed gain, while your equipped Trail multiplies that gain.
Treadmill speed × Trail multiplier = Speed gained per step
For example, the Angelic Treadmill provides +2,000 Speed per step, while the Divine Trail provides a ×14 multiplier.
That means:
2,000 × 14 = 28,000 Speed per step
Which should you upgrade first: Treadmill or Trail?
If you’re looking to optimize progression, there’s a simple rule to follow:
Treadmill > Base > Trail
Buy whichever upgrade is cheaper, but generally prioritize your Treadmill. A better Treadmill gives your current Trail a larger number to multiply.
