Steal an Egg biomes start with small speed jumps, from 900 in Lake to 10K in Desert and 40K in Jungle, but meeting the minimum speed requirement is only half the job. You still need to grab an egg with appropriate weight for your current speed to stay ahead of its guardian, and carry it back safely.
Below, we cover every biome, along with its minimum speed requirement, guardian, and pets.
All Steal an Egg biomes, guardians & speed requirements
Biomes follow one route through the map, so each new speed milestone opens doors to stealing eggs further from your base, which hatch more pets with better rewards and income.
Currently, there are 10 biomes in Steal an Egg:
- Forest
- Lake
- Desert
- Jungle
- Snow
- Volcano
- Abyss Ocean
- Prehistoric
- Cosmic
- Cherry Blossom
Cherry Blossom is the newest addition to the game and now the furthest area on the map. Its 2.5B requirement is more than three times higher than Cosmic’s 700M.
| Biome | Speed | Guardian |
|---|---|---|
| Forest | Start | Chicken |
| Lake | 900 | Swan |
| Desert | 10K | Scorpion |
| Jungle | 40K | Tiger |
| Snow | 170K | Yeti |
| Volcano | 700k | Hellhound |
| Abyss Ocean | 2.5M | Moby |
| Prehistoric | 18M | T-Rex |
| Cosmic | 700M | Dragon |
| Cherry Blossom | 2.5B | Nine-tailed fox |
What are biomes in Steal an Egg?
Biomes are different zones in the Steal an Egg map with their own speed criteria, eggs of 8 different value pets, and a guardian protecting the nest with eggs. Picking up one of the eggs in the nest wakes the guardian, and then it starts chasing you until you reach the base area safely or get caught.

Every player starts here and goes all the way to the back, where you can barely see 🔍
How does stealing eggs from biomes work?
Your main goal in this game is to carry the egg back to your base without getting caught, then hatch it into a pet. Overall, the whole Steal an Egg progression with biomes falls into sort of a loop:
- Steal eggs.
- Hatch pets.
- Increase speed.
- Reach the next biome.
This then repeats, and each part of the progression intersects. The further biome you reach, the better eggs you can steal. Meaning, you hatch Steal an Egg pets with better income, which then helps you buy better training tracks to increase speed faster and reach even further zones.
Is the minimum speed requirement enough to steal an egg?
We listed the minimum speed requirement, but if you want to steal heavier eggs, which means rarer pets with better income, you may still get caught and need to go back for it a few times.
The most important part is escaping the guardian in the biome you stole an egg from.
If the guardian catches you in its biome, the egg will go back to the nest, making it impossible to steal. On the other hand, if you get caught in a biome closer to home base (even if it’s the next one), the egg will stay there and make coming back to steal it possible.

That’s a Whale egg, but it’s now left in the Volcano biome, not the Abyss Ocean nest 🐋
Recommended speed by egg weight
The speed requirement beside a nest is only the starting point because carrying an egg reduces your movement. With heavier eggs, you will have a hard time running away.
These are just recommended speed targets by egg weight, but not requirements.
| Biome | Very light egg | Light egg | Medium egg | Heavy egg | Very heavy egg |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lake | 920 | 950 | 1K | 1.1K | 1.2K |
| Desert | 10.2K | 10.5K | 11K | 11.5K | 12K |
| Jungle | 41K | 42K | 45K | 48K | 50K |
| Snow | 175K | 180K | 190K | 200K | 210K |
| Volcano | 715K | 735K | 770K | 805K | 840K |
| Abyss Ocean | 2.55M | 2.65M | 2.75M | 2.9M | 3M |
| Prehistoric | 17.5M | 18M | 19M | 19.5M | 20.5M |
| Cosmic | 715M | 735M | 770M | 805M | 840M |
| Cherry Blossom | 2.6B | 2.7B | 3B | 3.2B | 3.5B |
How Steal an Egg biome guardians work
As mentioned, every biome has a guardian sleeping beside its nest with eggs. The further biome you tackle, the less room for mistakes, as not only your speed but the guardians’ speed increases.
Early-game guardians (Forest, Lake, Desert, and Jungle)
Forest through Jungle make up the shortest runs from your base, so getting caught here doesn’t cost much time. In all four biomes, running straight to your base gives the guardian less time to catch up
- The Chicken guardian in the Forest biome is the easiest guardian to escape, and there is no speed requirement, as this is the starting area for new players.
- The Swan guardian in the Lake biome is still fairly slow, but it’s the first one with a speed requirement, so reaching the nest no longer means you automatically bring an egg back.
- The Scorpion guardian in the Desert biome gives you less room to slow down or change direction, so taking the shortest route back matters most here.
- The Tiger guardian in the Jungle biome can catch up quickly if you hesitate after taking an egg, especially with a heavier egg in hand, as it already slows you down.
Forest and Lake are the most forgiving biomes. You can often outmaneuver Chicken and Swan even if you are just slightly above the minimum speed requirement.

Just look at them sleeping so peacefully with no idea what’s about to happen 🥺
Mid-game guardians (Snow, Volcano, Abyss Ocean and Prehistoric)
Snow, Volcano, Abyss Ocean, and Prehistoric biomes are where stealing eggs starts becoming less forgiving, especially if you only just barely meet the minimum speed requirement.
- The Yeti guardian in the Snow biome is much bigger than the early-game guardians, so it is easy to keep track of while running back, but harder to dodge.
- The Hellhound guardian in the Volcano biome has a much higher speed, so it becomes harder to escape with heavier eggs, leaving less room to recover from a bad turn.
- The Moby guardian in the Abyss Ocean biome is the first guardian you face once requirements reach millions, and even a small loss of speed becomes noticeable.
- The T-Rex guardian in the Prehistoric biome is the last one before Cosmic, so it’s quite difficult to pull away from it, and getting caught here also means a longer run back.
If you are not sure whether the current speed is enough, try a lighter egg first. If you can run from the guardian safely in these biomes, only then move on to heavier ones.

Ok, these ones are only cute while sleeping 😬
End-game guardians (Cosmic and Cherry Blossom)
Cosmic and Cherry Blossom are the last two biomes, so getting caught here wastes much more time, and they have the highest speed requirements in Steal an Egg. The jump from 18M in Prehistoric to 700M in Cosmic is the biggest on the map, and Cherry Blossom pushes it again to 2.5B.
- The Dragon guardian in the Cosmic biome comes right after the biggest speed jump in Steal an Egg, making it one of the hardest biomes to grind for. Heavier eggs make it even harder to pull away once the Dragon starts chasing.
- The guardian in the Cherry Blossom biome can send you all the way back to Abyss Ocean if it catches you. It makes stealing the egg very time-consuming if you just meet the minimum speed requirements. The biome requires 2.5B Speed, although 3.5B is recommended.
Cherry Blossom also has the Sakura Incubator, which you unlock with the Epic Crane pet.

Ngl, end-game guardians look like they belong in a fairy tale, not a Roblox game 🧚♀️
How to unlock further biomes in Steal an Egg?
To reach further biomes, you first need to increase speed, and speed progression starts with income, so keep your highest-income pets equipped, as they pay for the needed upgrades.
- Upgrade your treadmill. Higher treadmill levels increase speed faster, making the progression quicker instead of leaving you stuck training at an early-game rate.
- Use a better Trail. Trails multiply speed gains, so buying the strongest one you can reasonably afford becomes increasingly important before the late-game progress jumps.
- Keep training past the minimum. Reaching 700M for Cosmic will let you attempt to steal the eggs, but heavier eggs will still slow you down too much on the way back.
- Upgrade income alongside speed. Better pets fund the next treadmill and Trail faster, creating the income-to-speed loop for progressing through biomes.
Newer players should also claim any available free rewards before spending time on the treadmill. Even a small boost matters a lot in the early-game Steal an Egg biomes.
What is the hardest biome in Steal an Egg?
The hardest biome to reach isn’t always the hardest egg to bring home. Egg size also affects the escape, so a larger egg can make a familiar biome considerably harder to farm.
| Hardest biome progressions in order | Speed increase | How many times higher |
|---|---|---|
| Prehistoric to Cosmic | From 18M to 700M | x38.9 |
| Abyss Ocean to Prehistoric | From 2.5M to 18M | x6.8 |
| Cosmic to Cherry Blossom | From 700M to 2.5B | x3.6 |
Cherry Blossom is currently the hardest biome to reach, requiring at least 2.5B speed. It was added in the first update, during Admin Abuse, and it comes right after the Cosmic biome on the map.
Cosmic, however, still holds the title of the biggest progression jump needed. Going from Prehistoric’s 18M speed requirement to Cosmic’s 700M means multiplying your speed almost 39 times before even accounting for the lightest egg you need to carry back.
What is the fastest way to progress through biomes?
There’s no single correct way to reach further biomes faster, but a few tips can speed up grinding.
- Farm the furthest biome you can escape from instead of staying in easier ones.
- Try to steal lighter eggs when first entering a new biome to reduce failed attempts.
- Don’t miss out on updates and events like Admin Abuse.
- Check every biome after each reset, as high-rarity eggs can spawn in any area.
- Skip Index completion until you have reached the later biomes.
- Use the 13-second night closure to do base tasks, instead of waiting.
- Fill hatch slots before logging off so the eggs continue hatching offline.
- Replace your lowest-income pet whenever you hatch a better one.
- Don’t keep trying to steal the same eggs if you’ve already failed.
- Multitask by going on the treadmill while watching YouTube or doing other stuff.
