All League of Legends Classic champions are inspired by the 3rd season but also combine mechanics from other early League years. Old Soraka can restore Mana, Twisted Fate gets the infamous global slow back, and Sion can be built AP or AD. Moreover, not all of them made it into the roster yet.
So, which League of Legends Classic champions made it to the Summoner’s Rift roster, and what changed about them in this LoL game mode? Let’s go through all of that here.
All 68 League of Legends Classic champions
The original League of Legends Classic champion roster (in patch 26.15) included 60 champions across 6 different roles. Summoners could choose from:
- 13 Assasins
- 16 Fighters
- 33 Mages
- 12 Marksmen
- 17 Supports
- 19 Tanks
NOTE: Like in modern LoL, some champs can be built for several roles.
In later patches, Riot Games added 8 more picks.
Although the champions are well known from modern League, they’re not exactly the same. That’s because Riot changed most abilities to better match the Classic versions.

How to not feed with a new champ in LoL Classic?
In League of Legends Classic, preparing your Runes and Masteries, building counter items during a match, and picking out the right spells is what determines whether you’ll be feeding or carrying.
It’s not only about the champion pick and your own skills (well, maybe just a bit).
Runes and Masteries: Depending on how you use the Mastery points and Runes, they can grant Armor, MP, CR, gold, etc. So, take your time analyzing what’s best for your picks.
Items: The in-game shop includes Classic items from several early League seasons (removed ones and older versions, too). Don’t blindly copy an old build, and also don’t stick to one build every match. Check what the enemy team is building and swap in Armor, MR, MP, or other counters.
Summoner Spells: Classic brings back older spells like Fortify, Promote, Rally, and Surge. Even if it sounds intriguing, learn how to use them first. Keep in mind that Masteries can modify spells too.
NOTE: You can always check out sites like U.GG, OP.GG, and Mobalytics if you have no clue about what Runes, Masteries, spells, and items are best for a new Classic champion pick.
